Using the custom logging configuration that is defined in Talend Studio

You can enable log4j and log4j2 logging configured in Talend Studio for tasks running on Remote Engines.

Before you begin

You must activate custom logging in Talend Studio (File > Edit Project Properties > Log4j).

About this task

This configuration replaces the default configuration and logging messages will not be pushed to Talend Management Console and will not be present in the monitoring/logging system.

Procedure

  1. Open the <RemoteEngineInstallationDirectory>/etc/org.talend.ipaas.rt.jobserver.client.cfg file to edit it.
  2. Set the job.log.config.embedded parameter value to true.
  3. Save the file.
