Opening a master data record in an entity

You can open and view a master data record pertaining to a specific entity.

About this task

The following example shows how to open a master data record pertaining to the entity Product.

Procedure

  1. Click SELECT A VIEW and select from the list the view over the entity of your interest, Product in this example.
    All records pertaining to the entity will be returned and displayed.
  2. If needed, perform a search with a specified criteria to narrow down the listed data records by following Searching for master data records in an entity.
  3. Move the mouse over your interested data record and click Open the record in its first cell, or click the ID of the data record.
    All viewable attributes associated with the data record are displayed in a pop-up panel on the right, including the value of the foreign key attribute if any.
    Information noteNote: The viewable attributes are based on the access rights of the custom role assigned to you by the administrator.
  4. Click X in the upper right corner of the pop-up panel to close it.
