Exporting metadata to external systems

Procedure

From Talend Studio, select the File > Export... menu.
In the Export wizard, select Export metadata under the Metadata Bridge node, and then click Next to define Talend Bridge parameters.
Click in the Value field for the Project items parameter, and click the [...] button to browse to the item to export.
This is the only required parameter to set in this example. You can select any parameter to view its description, and click in the Value field to set the value of the parameter.
Click Next.
Select a bridge from the Bridges list.

In this example, we will export the selected Job into a data file for CA ErWin 9.x Data Modeler.
Specify the target file in the Value field for the File parameter, or click in the Value field and then click the [...] button to browse to the target file.

If the specified file doesn't exist, it will be created; if the specified file already exists, it will be overwritten.

This is the only required parameter to set in this example. The parameters to set vary depending on the bridge you choose. Select any parameter to view a detailed description about it, and click in the Value field to set the value of the parameter.
Set the optional parameters according as needed and click Next to start exporting the specified item.
When the export process is complete, click Finish to close the wizard.
