Importing a semantic mapping

You can import a semantic mapping from CSV file in a specific format defined for Talend Data Catalog.

Before you begin

  • You have been assigned an object role with the Metadata Editing capability.
  • You have defined a semantic mapping between the source and target models.

Procedure

  1. Go to MANAGE > Configuration.
  2. Click the semantic mapping, then click the Open button.
  3. Click Import from CSV.
  4. Click Browse... and select a file.
  5. Choose a column delimiter.
  6. Click Import.
    The Log Messages dialog appears.
    • If you receive the Operation successful result, click Close and open the mapping.
    • If you receive the Operation failed result, inspect the log messages and correct the issue accordingly.
